diRTy thiRTy

So it begins...the 'adult' stage of my life. Oh wait, did that start already? Married, kids, mortgage...maybe it did. But either way, I have officially crossed over from my young 20's to my middle aged 30's. How does it feel you ask? Freakin awesome!! Seriously! I love it...so far.
I am exactly where I want to be in life at 30. Like I said, married (for 7 years!), two kids (and done baby!), a house, and so on. I feel great.
I get to look forward to my awesome 30's of raising my babies, starting school and the whole homeroom mom thing, sports, family vacations (where the kids can actually do stuff), and basically just relaxing into my mom/wife role. I mean in my 20's there were so many changes....graduate college, get married, get pregnant, dealing with newborns, buying a house, decorating a house...lots of changes. 30's should be more relaxing, right?

Anyway, if my birthday week was any foreshadowing of what's to come, I'm gonna love the next ten years. I had the best time with my bestest girlfriends for a whole two days! I miss them so much already! We went to a fantastic B&B in Hershey. No kids..no hubs. Awesome I tell ya. We talked, we laughed, we shared, we laughed, we had a few drinks, we tried to take some shots, we laughed, we were just 'us' and it rocked. Here is the B&B.

We stayed in the Carriage House to the left here. All to ourselves. Ya, we did it up.

I forget how many acres this place had...I think it was like 35 or something. And they had 22 horses just roaming about. A few dogs...cats. You could even help feed the horses if you wanted...but 7:30 in the morning wasn't agreeing with any of us.

They even had special parking for us. Sweet.
Some of our 'drinking' good times fun. We try, we really do. Even poor Lara tried...even had to pump and dump her precious baby milk. She was a real trooper.

Ya, we drink the hard stuff.
Of course I was the only one to bring a little class to the show.
We also spent a day at Hershey Park where the weather was perfect...It only rained during lunch, which is when we decided it was time for an ice cream break anyway. We were told by some strange men at the ice cream parlor that we didn't' look 30, and that there was no way we had 5 kids between us...they also told us they thought we were a bunch of softball girls (not taken as a compliment, by any of us, lol).
The lines at Hershey were short and we flew through the rides. Went to chocolate world and bought out the store. Hopefully walked off 1/4 of the calories we ate. Don't have any pictures of Hershey.
We didn't have our cameras in the park so we bought a very reasonably priced picture of us. You would think by this pic we were headed down a horrific hill. If you could have seen it, you would be saddened by how small it was and how scared poor Lara looks. It was so funny. It was one of the only rides that scared her...and it was so small. I think me and Nancy were just laughing at her.

Before we left we went to Hershey Spa and got a relaxing chocolate sweet feet pedicure. Seriously the perfect get away. So turning 30 wasn't bad at all. Having someone rub and scrub your feet to perfection = nice.

Nancy got red of some sort. Lara went surprisingly with a flashy sparkly stripper red, and I went with good ol' coral. Decisions, decisions.
Oh so flattering robes.
Cute booties we got to wear.
I also...I've said that a lot this post, "also".....got to go to The Cheesecake Factory with Brett and the kids and then my family took me out to dinner as well. So I might have gained 30 pounds this week...but well worth it. So do we both look 30? I think we still look 29.
Yup, I threw out the peace sign. I must be getting old.

I have so many great memories of my birthday bash. We were actually celebrating all of us girls turning 30 this year. I miss them already! Can't wait till my 31st bday bash.

So missed Kari and Becca!!!! Next time girls, for sure.
