Early Birthday Fun

It's so easy snapping pics when you have nothing else to do. I give props to anyone who shoots good (not a blurry mess....someone actually in the picture)pictures when they have twenty million other things going on. This scene is BEFORE the party began. Just me and my daughter spending some quite time together. No one else around. Peaceful. It gets harder and harder to spend time with just her. To really soak her up and enjoy her. I miss our alone time. I need to make more of an effort to have dates with her this year. I mean, she is 4 already (well, in a few more days)!
And the chaos begins...
Can't you just see Bryer saying, "not another Barbie gift..."
It's so easy to please kids and make them happy. I love the overly-excited-kid-squeals from the simplest things. What if adults reacted like this every time we got something from someone...ah, we lose it somewhere along the line.
Pink was the theme...along with princess. IF we have another lake bday. I will be sure to skip this part. And to re-read this post to remember NOT to do this! No bringing cute pink serving dishes, no bringing many balloons, no making cute little tags for the food and princess decorations. The wind, the flies...they ruin it all.
As I said earlier, pics are easy when there is nothing else to do. Here I am just catching the pic, as others have already snapped away while I was busy doing other party duties, and missed this picture opportunity. So alas, I get what I can get....which is nothing. Hopefully others did.

Time to hit the lake.
"CHEESE"

Happy "almost" 4th birthday Sadie bean.

Wish we could have been there to celebrate with Sadie and the rest of you. It was great being with you, Jenn, on your actual Birthday though!! :) Sadie is looking so old and beautiful...just like her mamma!
