Holiday, Oh Holiday....It's the best time of the year!

My handsome guys.
Yes, this is what it looks like.

Only shot I got of Bryer in his cute tie. It's surprising how few pics you take when there is chaos all around.

Candy sculpture Uncle Jer made for the girls.

Bryer's pile of gifts from Mom Mom and Pop Pop.

My favorite kids in the whole world.

Mom Mom and the huge Toy Story book, meant for Bryer, but we re-gifted to Sadie. Sorry Mom.

Christmas morning shot...from the 80's.

Craziness.

Next year we are x-ing people off our Christmas schedule. It's a must. We have way too many people to visit at Christmas. Grinch-like? Maybe, but it's our only option. I don't think I saw my children more than two hours on Christmas morning during the whole holiday weekend, call me a dork, but I like to spend a little more time with my kids during Christmas.
This year we went to a Christmas Eve service...ON Christmas Eve. It was at a new church we don't attend, it's an Assembly of God church, I guess that's okay right? It was a good service...until Brett, super dad, took his eyes off Bryer for half a sec and he grabbed the candle. You know, the candle you light at the end of the service? Poor little guy. He barely cried so we didn't treat his hand at all, only to notice a few days later he had a popped blister on the inside of his thumb. And I am sure I wiped his hands a million times after eating, and I know I wasn't' gentle, so his little thumb probably got more beat up from me, supermom.

After church we had Christmas with Brett's parents, then we woke up Christmas morning and had our family Christmas, then we went over to my Mom's for her Christmas after lunch, and then, the day after Christmas, we had 20 plus people over to our house for my Dad's family Christmas, and then..whoo...we had Christmas with just my Dad after we kicked out the 20 plus people. Run on sentence? My life.

It was all fun and went well though. Well, most of it was fun, lol. I have to admit it's somewhat nice just handing my kids over to someone and walking away for the afternoon and not seeing them for awhile. Somewhat...nice...

Side note:
I tried to pound into Sadie's head how Christmas is about Jesus and it's his birthday. Which she got the point...I think. Until after all the Christmas festivities she says, "I LOVE Christmas!" To which I say, "Oh yeah? Why?" and she says, wait for it......."Cuz it's all about ME!"
Merry Christmas.
