Summer Summer Summer time! Time to sit back and unwind...

So I know. Summer is flying by. I mean flying this year. Weren't we just waiting for it to finally warm up after a long-a** winter, and now we've been kickin' it in the heat for months. The Fishers' have been completely livin' it up this summer. Boating just about every weekend. It's seriously, seriously, some serious fun. It's not too hard having fun with the hubs, the kids, and my sibs every weekend. It's not hard to blow through money either....sheesh, between eating every Sat night with everyone from the boat and then the gas, oh the gas for the boat. Ya, that's no fun. But the memories are more than worth it.
I'm sure Sadie will always remember Uncle Jer climbing the cliff and diving off. Well, jumping off technically.(don't mind the green water or leaves floating around..hey, it's lake, it's nature)

Or learning to swim with Daddy.
Mema and Steve were there to witness the miraculous feat of Sadie actually floating around, aka: swimming, in the water all by herself. Rewind to the beginning of this summer (and all of last year) when Sadie wouldn't even get in the lake...and now she literally wants to swim for hours upon glorious hours. As soon as we get out of the water to eat, heat up a little, enjoy the peaceful boat, she asks when we can get back in to swim. It's all good though. Better than her sitting alone on the boat while we swim away.
Bryer loves the lake too. Anytime we get in, he wants in. He hates missing the action.
Oh, and my mom and Steve rocked the tube. Well Steve did. Brett tried to knock him off, it didn't work.
My mom? Ya, we went about 10 miles an hour with her (slow) as she screamed the whole way and bounced along on the tube. No throwing mom off.
We took an adventure with our boat to the Chesapeake. Wow. The swells were two feet and rocking the boat like no tomorrow. At first we all loved it. And by we I mean me, Brett, Jer, Jonathan, Julie...somewhat Sadie. The water splashing onto the boat and soaking us and we pounded into wave after wave. It was great. Our own water ride. Fast forward a couple hours. Sadie " I'm not happy anymore"
Jonathan "Get me off this ride!"
Brett " We are out of gas"
It was a little rough that day. But somehow the boys still managed to wake board through it all. Brett, Jer, and Jonathan have come quite far from not being able to get up at all for weeks on end to now doing some jumps (you know, slightly lifting their boards off the water and calling it a jump). Hey, they love it and it's fun to watch, now that they get up.I am happy enough sticking to tubing and swimming.
We are still working up the courage to use "the" rope swing. At our lake there is this huge rope swing high in the air off a cliff that has teens lined up to use it continuously. We really want to. When is the last time you got to jump off a rope swing like a little kid on a hot summer day? Not since I was a little kid. But, and this is a big but. A few weeks ago a teen, who didn't know how to swim, decided to jump off the rope swing and drown. So...needless to say we are not throwing ourselves in line to jump off a rope swing into that water that just housed a deceased person. Kinda creepy. But if we do, I'll be sure to post pics.

Oh ya...Brett and I also took a little trip to see U2! His Christmas present arrived at last ;) It was freakin' awesome!! I'm not a huge U2 fan (add booing and hissing here), but I had a blast at the concert. Best concert I've ever been too. Not that that is saying much considering my list of concerts consists of (in order from worst to best) N'Sync, John Mayer, and U2. Ya, U2 hands down.

So all in all I'm done blabbing now. Just needed to blog our endless summer of fun...so far.
