Our neighbors took us on theirs and we had a blast! I love going to the lake to swim and just hang out...but going out on the lake for the day is sooooo much more fun! Minus the getting horribly burnt part.
The kids had to wear life vests....as you can see Bryer's vest was wearing him and not the other way around. He cried at first when it was on but as soon as the boat took off he fell asleep with all the water noise and motion. He did great. I think he wants us to get a boat.
He looked so darn cute in his life vest!
Even if he was trying to chew his way out....
We got to go tubing. Even little Sadie-bean braved up and went out with Daddy. Of course the boat was going about 2 miles an hour. But I am so proud she had the courage to go out!

Here is me going out on the tube...haha. This was my face the whole time! I loved it. I kept telling Dan, our neighbor driving the boat, not to let me fall off. He said no one has fallen yet and he tries to be careful of that.

Guess what?? I was the first person to fall off :) And I almost lost my bottoms!! It was awesome though!
Then Brett got a turn tubing. His ride was much more fun. He could actually turn the tube while riding and he was all over the place.
Here's Dan.....before he flew off the tube! That makes three....of course Brett was driving the boat at this point so I can't really blame Dan for falling off.

We got to do some swimming in the lake also. Our neighbor Tonya told us not to worry about any fish touching us....the lake was so polluted that all the fish had died :) Yummy.

.....he was the second person ever to fall off the tube...lol, we were really on a role. We ruined Dan's perfect fall- free summer.

Of course with all of our kids peeing in the lake I'm sure any surviving fish stayed away from us.
Again, I was proud of Sadie for getting IN the lake. It only lasted maybe 3 minutes, but hey, it was something.

We also had the option to water ski. Only Tonya had the guts, and the legs to do that! She loves it. I shudder just thinking about it. No thanks.

To end the perfect day, it down poured and lightening and thundered. We all huddled under the boat canopy and waited while everyone on the lake was trying to get off the dock. Sadie and the other girls on the boat all hid in their little cave (a canvas cover over the front part of the boat that you have to be three feet or shorter to fit under) on the boat during the storm, giggling and having a great time. The rain drenched everything we had on the boat...towels, extra clothes, us...but it was great regardless!
Before we went on the lake I asked Tonya if boats every broke down and how they got off the lake. She said she had never seen a boat break down but you had to rely on another boat to tow you off the lake. Well guess what happened? A boat with three teens broke down, in the middle of the lightening and downpour, and we had to tow them to safety.
So I go back to my first thought.....I want to get a boat!

great commentary jenn! your tubing face cracked me up!! and so hilarious that all three of you fell off! what lake is this anyway? the same one you took that day trip to with the giant swing?
No, it's a local state park/lake that is free. Blue Marsh Lake. Kind of like Marsh Creek lake....
