Really, was this really my night??

Brett's out of town leaving me to fend on my own with the two little ankle biters. Let's just say bedtime is not even close to easy.
Starting at 7pm Bryer gets his usual fussiness. So I put on Sadie's new favorite show, "Phineas and Ferb" while I take care of Bryer. I know bottle time is coming, but at first he is fussing because he has gas, so I work some out but he is still fussing and now full blown crying. The crying makes him swallow air which in turns creates more gas pains and the cycle continues. His reflux is now acting up from all the crying and he is having horrible swallowing noises and crying more from that. Meanwhile Sadie is still mesmerized by the Phineas and Ferb....going on an hour now. It's 8pm and Bryer is hungry and trying to eat but his reflux is still acting up making him annoyed he can't eat and, well, you guessed it, crying some more. I finally get him to sleep at 8:30pm only to have Sadie come in the room holding wet underwear and shorts telling me she peed on the couch. I put down Bryer and he magically wakes up and cries right away. I clean the pee and return to Bryer only after putting on yet another Phineas and Ferb...going on an hour and half of straight tv for Sadie now! Try dealing with a fussing/crying baby for an hour and a half. You almost lose your mind. I have to say I am proud of myself. Not only did I not lose my patience, I didn't curse or yell or do anything mean to either of my children! Yeah! Good Mommy!
I get Bryer to sleep two more times and two times he wakes as soon as I lay him down...I am thinking he is still having gas pains and I am just about getting tired of this. My back is killing me from walking him around for an hour....
So to change things up a bit Sadie decides to go poop in the potty AND on the floor of the bathroom! Awesome, just what I need right? What can I do...I let it sit there.
Finally we make our way up to Bryer's room at 9pm and get him to sleep yet again while Sadie sits on her bed reading books to herself. I lay Bryer down in his crib, asleep, finally. I go to Sadie's room and get her ready for bed just to hear Bryer screaming....he spit up all over his crib. Again, I say awesome!!
I leave Sadie alone, again, and tend to the baby boy. Just as he falls asleep in my arms it starts to thunder storm and Sadie starts crying and yelling for me from her room...really, is this really happening now?
I bring her into Bryer's room to get him back to sleep from her crying. I am holding him in the rocker and somehow Sadie is laying across my legs and shoulder as well in fear from the thunder.
Finally, finally, finally, at 9:15 I get Bryer to bed and go lay down with Sadie in her bed until she falls asleep ten minutes later. Just as I leave her room...I hear Bryer fuss!! This really happened. I can't believe it at this point and almost (almost) laugh. I go in his room and he has quieted himself and is staring at the owls on his wall, so I just leave and lay down in my own glorious bed.
I notice the monitor keeps going off for Bryer so I check on him and he is still staring at the owls...for a good 20 minutes...and then....believe it or not....the little stinker puts himself to sleep.
I'm done for the night at 9:20 and so exhausted from the past two and a half hours.

My dad tells me when my babies are teenagers I will wish I had these problems instead of teenager attitude/sex/weird trends/mouthy problems....the grass is always greener right?

I am so excited for Brett to get home from traveling... understatement of the year!!
I really appreciate him!!

Wish I had a pic to post from last night, but it would have been of me pulling out my hair, which I didn't get....or poop on the floor

Wow, what a night! Very comical, although I know it doesn't always feel that way in the midst of it! Way to keep your cool and make light of it, but yes, its always better when the hubbys are home.
