But I have to say, God was good to me. I guess he heard my million prayers and the hundreds sent up by my friends for a easy and quick delivery, cuz that's what I got! I knew my little man would take it easy on Mommy :)
So here's my short easy story of how Bryer came into this world.
I'll start off by saying this pregnancy was not as easy as the one with Sadie. My stomach ached a lot, I had 5 freaking cavities, I couldn't stop drinking for the life of me or peeing every hour for that matter, I had insomnia for two months before delivering, I gained more weight this time, and I had cramping for weeks before delivery as well.
But all that more than makes up for my great delivery!!
Brett and I went to the hospital Friday morning 4/9/10 at 8 am to be induced. I was soooo sooooo soooo tired because of course I didn't sleep the night before. Because of awesome pregnancy insomnia and because I was so nervous about the induction, I was extremely tired going into the induction. I was given pitocin at 9:30am to start contractions and about ten minutes later given an epidural. I hadn't even felt any contractions yet, but got my pain meds in advance :) This was because I heard how horrible it is to have your water broken. My water was broken, pain free, at 10:30am. Then I just laid there for a few hours waiting to fully dilate, which happened around 1:30pm. I waited to push till 2:30 cuz we were waiting for my doctor who was in a c-section at the time. But she didn't make it and another doctor delivered my baby instead.
Mind you, I am still not feeling any pain. I started to feel slight cramping before I had to push so the anesthesiologist topped me off and back to pain free I was. I felt like I was cheating, this giving birth thing seemed too easy this time!!
Anyway, I pushed for about 20 minutes. Which was all I really had in me since I was so stinkin tired from no sleep the night before. There was no way I was pushing for three hours like I did with Sadie. After Bryer's head was out the doctor pretty much gently pulled him the rest of the way out. She knew how paranoid I was of ripping again and she was a miracle worker as I had not one stitch needed!! Answered prayer...thank you God!
Bryer Andrew Fisher came screaming into the world at 2:51pm on 4/9/10 at 9lbs 5oz. It was awesome!
I'm recovering well...felt completely normal after a day or two. Just waiting for nature to take the weight off of me that it put on me ;) Glad to say I am done being pregnant! Never do I have to do that again! I love being pregnant free :)
Sadie is slowly adjusting to her role as a big sister. At first she ignored Bryer pretty much and was attached to my hip when I got home from the hospital. Now she is starting to kiss him and pat his head and tell him it's okay when he cries.
I love my new family! Life is good :)
Best family pic we could get so far....
