Cali

After an hour car ride, sevens hour on one plane, an hour and half lay over, an hour and a half on another plane, and then...after an hour and half drive... we finally made it to California. Whew. I have to say, Sadie was absolutely perfect for all the traveling we did. With the help of my mother-in-law, Sadie was entertained for the flights over there. She slept, played, ate, laughed, read books, and was such a good girl for us! No tantrums or crying spells...nothing. Praise God! I guess we will have to do this again one day.
We had an awesome time visiting Bradd, Heather, Taytum and Kaelan. Sadie LOVED playing with her cousins and their dog. This is why I need to have more kids, so they play with each other and give mommy and daddy some space :)
We got to eat great food (thanks to great restaurants and Bradd's awesome cooking), play a great new game (Settlers of Catan), open the last of our Christmas gifts, and see how gorgeous the weather is in Ca and what we are missing here in the dumps of Pa.
Another great thing from Ca, since we have been home Sadie has been sleeping in till 8:30! It's so great. I forgot what it felt like to sleep that late, refreshing! It makes me want to go to bed later, but then I freak out that this is the morning Sadie is going to get up at 6am and I am going to be exhausted again...so I still go to bed early.

Oh ya, we were also in our very first earthquake (if you can call it that). While we were at the mountain house a 4.5 earthquake hit us. Bradd and Heather practically jumped out of their skin, lol ;) But all the rest of us felt was the windows making creaking sound that felt like a gust of wind. We really didn't believe it was an earthquake until Bradd looked it up online to prove it. So I guess we can now say we have been in an earthquake, no matter how minor it was.

Taytum and her pink hair ;)
Sadie picking out her Build-a-bear
Sadie opening her Christmas gift with Dada, who by the way is growing a beard. What can I say, I got a thing for facial hair. Brett looks so freakin hot I can't stand it!! The kissing hurts, but the looking is gooooooood :)
Grandmom and the joys of her life.
Sadie rocking her Build-a-bear sunglasses that are meant for
her turtle. She is Ca through and through. She loves her sunglasses
and flip flops.

Needless to say, we will be back...
