This past month has flown by...Our awesome friends Nancy and Jon came to visit us and help us (and by us I mean Brett) finish our basement. The boys framed it out while us girls were up to our own construction work. Putting together Sadie's first birthday gift from Aunt Nancy and Uncle Jon....we did an awesome job didn't we?

Sadie is still speed crawling around the house while her knees are turning a nice bright shade of red. She is pulling herself up on everything she can and constantly going after the remote controls lying around. She is so proud of herself. She tries to take a few steps if you hold her, but Mommy likes to keep putting Sadie on the ground sitting. I am not ready for a walking baby yet, I want to keep her little and crawling as long as I can and if that means holding her back, so be it :)

Sadie loves being outside. She sat in her swing and then on the glider with me for over an hour talking to the birds while I talked on the phone to my mom. Brett's mom says it sounds like Chinese when Sadie babbles away, and it does. She goes off on these tangents that sound like she is really talking in another language. Very cute. As long as we are outside she is happy, no matter what we are doing. I gotta say, I LOVE having a 9 month old.
