Suggestions please!

Every morning for the past few weeks Sadie wakes up with pee all over her pj's and the bed. So gross, I know. She fills her diaper to the max with pee and then it overflows onto her and the crib sheets. She sleeps all night and I am afraid to change her diaper in the middle of night because I don't want to wake her up and I don't want to get up either :) I don't' want to keep buying tons of different diapers until I finally find something that works, so I was wondering if anyone else has had to deal with this? I am going to try one size up in diapers but if that doesn't work I have no idea...Any info would be great, for poor Sadie's sake.

UPDATE:

Well....the inserts do NOT work at all. So I bought one size larger in the Huggies Overnight diapers and they worked great! Sadie almost completely filled up the diaper, but not enough to get herself wet. Her daytime diapers work great, we actually just moved her up a size in those a couple weeks ago, so going up another size so quickly is crazy! I think very soon I will have to go up a size again... I swear, this kid must have a record breaking size bladder. Just look how big the night time diaper is on her! It almost reaches her chest! I would hate to wear underwear like that...

You can buy something called "Diaper Doublers". They are the inside only of a diaper, intended to insert and increase the absorbancy. I know BRU sells them, not sure who else. Can't guarantee that they will solve the problem but they're supposed to. Let me know how well they work.

Another thought, changing her diaper in the middle of the night probably wouldn't help anyway. Most likely she is holding it a long time and peeing so much at once that the diaper can't absorbe it quick enough.

use the next size up diaper... :) sounds like she's out-peeing it. when o starts to do that, it's time to size up, they're a bit big at first, but it's better than changing the bed every night.

Hi Jen,
You don't know us really, but I guess we have similar friends! :) Hope you don't mind my advice even though it sounds like this is under control. One thing that helps with the clean up is this thing called the "ultimate crib sheet". You can buy them at Babie's R Us, but it basically just lays on the top of the crib sheet and has a protective layer so that when they do pee thru their diaper (or get sick or whatever), you don't have to strip the bed. You just unsnap the top sheet, wash it and snap it back on. It's been great for us.
